The Active Transportation Symposiums bring together state and local government agencies, planners, engineers, public health practitioners, and other active transportation stakeholders to share information on active transportation topics, network, and create momentum around implementable solutions to increase safe walking and bicycling.

The 2021 Active Transportation Symposium was a three-day, virtual event hosted by the Active Transportation Resource Center (ATRC).
The inaugural event was held in partnership with the California Transportation Commission and Caltrans on October 29-30, 2019 at The Ziggurat, West Sacramento.
The Symposium showcased inspiring speakers, panel discussions on important active transportation topics of benefits, equity, safety and non-infrastructure projects along with a networking experience.
